AMS ER 120
AMS (alpha methyl styrene) resin. It is a water white aromatic hydrocarbon resin with superior oxidative stability. This resin may be used as a reinforcing agent in modifying the styrene endblocks of styrenic block-copolymers in order to improve cohesion and high temperature resistance. It can also be used as a tackifier for EVA based hot melt adhesives.
Character:
Waterwhite
High compatibility with most of polymer, such as Rubber based, EVA based, PUR based
Excellent thermal stability
Increase initial bonding strength and bonding strength and performance in substrates
Increase bonding strength and heat resistance than other rosin ester and C5 resin
Application:
Rubber and tires
Modification of thermoplastics
Endblock reinforcing resin for styrenic block-copolymers
Hotmelt adhesives for bookbinding, packaging, woodworking and pressure sensitives
Sealants and caulks
Coatings
